Task Matrix — Eisenhower matrix online app in the browser and on Windows
The Eisenhower matrix is one of the most popular time management tools. It is believed that its originator was US President Dwight David Eisenhower (1953–1961). The idea is simple: divide tasks along two axes — importance and urgency — and get four quadrants with different action strategies. The Task Matrix service brings this method to the web: you work with the matrix in your browser and, when needed, in the same account in the Windows app.

What is Task Matrix
Task Matrix is a web app for the Eisenhower matrix (priority matrix) at taskmatrix.online. Sign in with your e-mail or with a Microsoft or Google account; data is stored in the cloud and tied to your account. One sign-in is enough to use both the website and the desktop app “Task Matrix” for Windows with the same tasks.
Four quadrants: how the matrix works
The interface is built around four quadrants. Each has its own purpose and a short motto:
| Quadrant | Purpose | Motto |
| Important and urgent | Do first | Do it now! |
| Important but not urgent | Schedule time | Decide when to do it.. |
| Not important but urgent | Delegate if possible | Delegate! |
| Not important and not urgent | Do later or drop | Do it later/dump it! |
You can see at a glance what needs immediate action, what to schedule, and what to delegate or postpone. The visual matrix helps you stay focused and keep priorities clear.
App features
- Matrix on the home page — four quadrants with your tasks. Add a task to a quadrant or move tasks between quadrants by drag-and-drop. You can reorder tasks within each group.
- Task card — double-click to open the form: name, description, Important/Urgent flags, emoji..
- Full task list — a separate table view with filtering, sorting, and paging. Handy for search and bulk review.
- Settings — delete all tasks in one action (with confirmation), info on syncing with the Windows app, and support links.
- Multi-language — the interface supports several languages.
Everything runs in the browser: no install needed. Go to taskmatrix.online and sign in with your e-mail or Microsoft or Google account.
Introducing Remote Scanner — App Suite for Remote Barcode Scanning
We are pleased to announce the launch of Remote Scanner — a set of applications that turn your smartphone or browser into a remote barcode scanner. Scan on your phone, and the result is sent straight to the right computer or into the active program (1C, inventory systems, any input form). No cable, no separate scanner.

What’s in the suite
- Windows app — installs on the PC where barcodes should be received. Works on a regular computer or on a remote desktop (RDP). Shows a unique identifier and a QR code for quick setup.
- Android app — fast scanning with the camera, manual identifier entry or scanning the QR code from the Windows app. Handy for warehouse, inventory, and labeling.
- Web scanner — runs in the browser on a PC or smartphone. No install: open the page, enter the identifier, and scan.
Who it’s for
Warehouse staff and cashiers who want to do without a separate scanner. Teams doing inventory or labeling in 1C — several people can scan into the same form at once. Developers who need to emulate a scanner when debugging their apps. And anyone who needs to quickly send a barcode from their phone into software on a computer.
How to get started
Download the Windows app from the site and install it on your PC (or on an RDP server). Install the Android app or open the web scanner in your browser. Use the same identifier in both — you can scan the QR code from the Windows app to fill it in automatically. Then just scan: data is sent to the chosen PC and into the active window (the standard 1C barcode scanner driver can be used if needed).

Today, 08/08/2021, we added the ability to specify emoji in task names to our application "Task Matrix". Emoji will help you visually thematically separate tasks from each other. And also - visually it looks great! 😉
Today, 03/22/2020, we carried out large-scale work to change the design of our application "Task Matrix". In accordance with the latest trends in the design of 2020, we added the "neomorphism" style to the application.
